USS Daddy!

Memorial Day is a day when we let Daddy tell us all about his Navy escapades without any eyes being rolled or huffs and puffs! Phillip absolutely lights up when he reminisces about his Navy days. During his four years of service, he went all over the world. He went to places like Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Maryland, Massachusetts, Chicago, Virginia, Canada, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Sicily, Sigonella, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and Tunisia. WOW! I can't imagine going that many places in a lifetime. I am so blessed he chose to be in Education after completing his Navy duties. We love you daddy! Thank you for all that you did for our country (and our little house too)!

Graduation

My sweet baby cousin graduated high school tonight. I am so sad because it reminds just how quickly time passes. It seems like yesterday I was getting to hold a baby for the very first time, and it was her, Presley. She and I are exactly ten years apart, yet I always felt like she was the sibling I never had. I love you Presley and I am so proud of you!!!

Last Day of School!!!

Today was the last day of school for all of us! I was able to sneak away from my workday to see the girls celebrating at their school! I am so thankful that my babies have a place that they love going to everyday! I know they will miss their friends the next two months, but I just have to keep them home with me for a little TLC!

B/F/F's and a Birthday!

Today was Madison's birthday party! We traveled to the park where we were greeted with a lovely castle playground! The girls (and their dad) were very excited! Mindy hired a clown and let me just say...he was...well, interesting. By the time my girls finally realized he was not going to hurt them, his hour was up. It's a good thing that Phillip got the clown to make "him" two balloon butterflies. Oh well, we had a wonderful time. Happy 3rd Birthday, Mat, Mat!!!

River Rats!

We were invited to go to our good friends, Chris and Randis' parents home on the river this weekend. They live right on the river and it is BEAUTIFUL! I am sad to say that my girls have never been on a boat, so it was a weekend of firsts!
It's official...they loved the river. Phillip and I also decided we HAVE to move! AND it has to be on the water!

Mama Mia!

(My grandfather, my mother, and me)

On this day, I am reminded how lucky I am to have a mother that loves me dearly. She has been my motivation, my strength, my guide, my inspiration, and my rock. Without her, I would not be who I am today. Thank you mother, for being selfless, and giving me everything my heart ever desired. I love you with all that I am.

(My Maga and Me)

Mother's Day also makes me think of my sweet grandmother or Maga (maw-ga) as we called her. She passed away several years ago and I miss her terribly. I only wish she could have met my girls.

On a happier note, more than anything, Mother's Day has taken a whole new meaning since I have actually become a mother. There is nothing that gives me greater joy than hearing, "Mommy!"

Mallory and Sophia,
You have given me a kind of joy that I can only pray you will experience with your own babies. Being a mother is the greatest gift I have ever been given. My love for you grows daily, hourly, and by the minute. Sometimes, I think my heart will explode because I love you both so much. I look at you two, and I know that I was born to be your mommy. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for loving me.
Love~Mommy

Friends Galore!

Right now, I am loving, and I mean loving, watching my girls develop friendships. It is amazing to see the bond that forms so quickly when they meet new friends. I only wish that as adults, it was this easy. Children are so pure, never judgmental, and love unconditionally. My babies inspire me to become a better friend, a better wife, and more than anything, a better mother.
We had a wonderful time grilling, swimming, roasting marshmellows, doing a little DIY mother's day gift for grandparents (will post later), and listening to Mallory's spooky stories. My family is lucky to have you all: Randi, Chris, Chandler, Mindy, and Madison!
